24 Hour Run

02/17/2017 - 02/18/2017

Highland Park High School - Highland Park, IL -- Indoor Track

Each year, the Highland Park High School Boy's and Girls Track Teams combine their efforts to raise as much money as possible to contribute to Charity Drive. The 24 Hour Run is a 24 hour relay race in which members of the track team take turns running 1 mile at a time. The event takes place on HPHS’s indoor track for 24 hours starting at 9:00 am on February 17th and concluding at 9:00 am on February 18th. Our goal is to cover over 200 miles during the 24 hours of the relay and raise over $35,000. We ask that you become an honorary member of the HPHS Track Team by making a contribution to this cause. Any amount that you contribute will help. Donations can be made on a per-mile basis or simply a dollar contribution. You can donate online at the 24 Hour Run Website or give checks to a member of the track & field teams made payable to; Highland Park High School. The Highland Park High School Boys and Girls Track Teams, Highland Park High School, and most importantly those affected by this year’s charity are infinitely grateful for your generosity!

This year, the students and staff of HPHS collectively chose the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center (ZCenter) to be the recipient of our fundraising.

ZCenter is a local nonprofit that runs two facilities for survivors seeking refuge, help, guidance, therapy, amongst many other resources. They also run an 24/7 anonymous hotline for any sexual assault survivors and they provide educational courses on how to properly communicate consent between partners. Sexual assault is a troubling yet widespread issue in not just our community but all over the world. 1 in 3 women will encounter a form of sexual assault and 1 in 7 men will. This issue affects us all.

We invite all students and staff of HPHS, community members, alumni, parents, friends, coaches, and anyone at all to join us on the indoor track for the momentous event. Additionally, our goal is to raise $35,000. Last year we fundraised $30,116. All members of the HPHS boys and girls track teams are collecting donations in the form of cash or checks. Checks can be made out to Highland Park High School. To our followers from far away, please donate online through our paypal! Click the Donate tab in the menu above, or click here.

We hope to see all of you at the event and look forward to having your help surpass $35,000 for the 2017 24 Hour Run! Thanks!
