Ben Kirsch Clears 13'6" at Windy City Pole Vault Summit

Tuesday, March 12 2019

Senior Ben Kirsch was invited to compete at the 2019 Windy City Pole Vault Summit hosted by Rolling Meadows High School. He took full advantage of this great opportunity to compete against some of the best vaulters in the state.

After having a disappointing morning competing at the Maine East Invite, Kirsch showed his mental toughness by bouncing back at this meet. He came in at 12'0" and cleared it on his first attempt! He then went on to clear 12'6" and 13'0" also on first attempts. At 13'3" he missed his first two attempts, but again showed tremendous poise as he cleared his new personal best on the third attempt. Kirsch was not done yet. He cleared 13'6" on his first try! He had some solid attempts at 13'9" to finish the day off. This performance gives Kirsch some big confidence going into the remainder of the season!
