5th Annual Warren Invite

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

 

Date: April 15, 2017

 

Time:  9:45 a.m. Coaches meeting – school entrance by concession stand

10:00 a.m Field events

11:00 a.m. Track Events

 

Schools: Grayslake North, Highland Park, Lake Zurich, Maine East, Warren

 

Entries: You are allowed 3 entries per individual event and 1 relay team.  

Facility: The track is an 8 lane, 400 meter, all weather polyurethane surface.  Only flats and spikes not longer than ¼” will be permitted on all running and jumping surfaces.  Starting blocks will be provided.  

NO TAPE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SURFACE.

 

Shot and discus surfaces are concrete.  Only rubber-soled shoes will be permitted.  

 

Please come dressed for competition as locker rooms will not be available.

 

Scoring/ The track meet will be hand-timed.  Scoring of the meet will be 10-8-6-4-2.

Awards: Medals will be awarded for 1-5 places in all individual events and 1-3 places for relays.  A plaque will be given for the first place teams for each level.  All awards will be given to the head coaches at the end of the meet.

 

 

 

 

 

Bullpen: Is located at the south end of the infield by the high jump pad.  All athletes and relay teams will report to the bullpen when called.  No special announcements will be made for athletes and relay teams not reporting to their event.

 

Concessions: Will be available the day of the meet.

First Aid: A certified athletic trainer will be on site.

 

FIELD EVENTS

10:00 SHOT PUT Varsity First Followed by F/S. No finals, best of 4 throws.

DISCUS F/S First Followed by Varsity. No finals, best of 4 throws.

LONG JUMP Run simultaneously. No finals, best of 4 jumps.

TRIPLE JUMP Run simultaneously following the long jump. No finals, best of 4 jumps.

HIGH JUMP Varsity First.  Starting heights to be determined based on entries.

 

POLE VAULT Varsity First.  Starting heights to be determined based on entries.

 

Running Events – No Prelims.  All places based on times.  F/S followed by Varsity
