CSL North Outdoor Freshmen Invite
DATE: Friday, May 11th 2026
SITE: Wolters Field- 1080 Park Avenue West, Highland Park, IL 60035
The Central Suburban League, North Division freshmen track & field meet will be held on Monday,
May 11th 2026 at 4:45 p.m. The following schools have been invited to compete:
Highland Park
Maine East
Maine West
Niles North
Niles West
Vernon Hills
BUSES: Team buses will drop off athletes and coaches in the lot by the baseball field. After dropping off, buses will be asked to park off-site. They can park at the Highland Park Rec Center, the Staples parking lot, or at Highland Park High School.
ADMISSION: There will be no admission fee for spectators at the meet. Spectators may park in the lot by the baseball field and back field. They may also park in the lot by the administration office. If the lots are filled, spectators may also park across the street at the Highland Park Rec Center.
AWARDS:
Awards: The 1st place team will receive a plaque. Top 3 individual athletes and relays will receive medals and 4th - 6th will receive ribbons. All awards are based on CSL guidelines.
TEAM SCORING:
10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 - All Events (6th place relays - 0 pts)
ENTRIES:
Must be completed at www.athletic.net Tentative registration deadline is Sunday, May 10th by 12:00pm.
An athlete may only enter four events.
No entries will be allowed at the meet, scratches or substitutions only.
Coaches will be allowed to make substitutions up to 4:15pm
Scratches should be made by 4:15pm at the timing area next to the track.
SHOT/DISCUS WEIGH-IN:
Weigh-in will be located at the blue picnic tables outside the garage next to the track, and should be completed by 4:20pm.
CHECK-IN:
All athletes competing in track events MUST check in at the bullpen which will be located on the infield. They must also get their hip number from the table that will also be located on the infield. Please remind your athletes that they must be at the bullpen and checked in before their event begins or they will be scratched.
RULES:
All IHSA rules are expected to be followed.
GAMES COMMITTEE:
The games committee will consist of the starter, and the head coaches.
UNIFORMS:
School uniforms must be worn and in compliance with the sectional rules.
COACHES:
Coaches will be able to be on the infield during the meet. Non-competing athletes and parents will not be allowed on the infield during the meet.
TEAM AREAS:
Teams are welcome to use the bleachers as their team camp. Otherwise, tents may be set up in grass areas outside the stadium fences on the south end of the track. No tents are allowed in the stadium fencing or near the field events.
TRAINER:
A trainer will be available throughout the meet.
LOCKER ROOMS:
All teams are to dress at home as we do not have enough locker room facilities to accommodate all the teams involved in the meet.
VALUABLES:
Highland Park High School will not be responsible for lost valuables. Each coach and school is asked
to take care of and keep an eye on their own valuables.
TRACK INFO:
Our track is located at 1080 Park Ave West, just east of Hwy. 41. The 400 meter track is an 8 lane, Eurotan WS surface, with a 9 lane home straight, dual reversible runways, 2 PV pits in opposite directions, and concrete shot & disc circles. Track markings.
BATONS:
Each team must furnish its own relay batons.
STARTING BLOCKS:
Will be furnished by Highland Park.
CONCESSIONS:
Please let your athletes and families know that a concession stand will be open during the meet. Coaches will be provided meal tickets for the concession stand.
