ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Olivet Nazarene University men's track and field team compted in its second meet of the indoor season at the Mike Lints Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State University (Mich.) on Friday, Jan. 21. The Tigers competed in the one-day event. The event was not scored per team.
Junior Justin Jones (Oakwood, Ill.) finished fifth the one mile run with a time of 4:21.90. Freshman Reynauldt Keys (Matteson, Ill.) finished 11th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.82. Sophomore Marcus Reynolds (Green Bay, Wis.) finished ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84. The Tigers were represented by a second place 4x400 meter relay team who finished with a time of 3:26.61.
In the field portion of the event, the Tigers did not disappoint, either. Freshman Jason Baker (Braidwood, Ill.) finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.24 meters. Sophomore Ty'rel Fields (Huntsville, Ala.) finished 11th in the long jump with a distance of 6.17 meters. Junior Robert Croumlich (New Carlisle, Ind.) finished 13th in the weight throw with a distance of 13.24 meters.
The Tigers will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29, in Bloomington, Ind., for the Indiana Relays, hosted by Indiana University. They will also participate in the Titan Open on Saturday, Jan. 29 in Bloomington, Ill. hosted by Illinoiis Wesleyan University. The meet will start at 10:00 a.m.
