Freshmen Outdoor CSL Invite

Highland Park hosted this years Frosh CSL North Outdoor Invite. The Giants took 4th as a team.  

The meet had several exciting highlights for HP.

Zach Auerbach took 3^rd in the Shot Put (35'10”) and 2^nd in the Discus 92'8”

HP won the 4X800 Meter Relay at the indoor championship and was hoping to defend its title. Due to some injuries the team needed someone to step in to run on the relay. Despite not being a distance runner, Tristan Razzetti was willing to run and did very well to help the team win in 9:38.42. The relay also included Sam Falberg (who ran a strong lead-off leg), Fitz Laurie, and Alex Frank.

The 4X100 Meter Relay was 3^rd in 49.64.

In the 3200 Meter Run Nate Amster won in 10:28.73 and Alec Glazier was 3^rd in 11:03.16.

Dennis Hinckleman ran his best time in the 110HH to take 4^th in 19.96.

In the 100 Meter Dash, Cedric Gonzalez was 4^th in 12.04 and Michael Menaker was 6^th with a time of 12.34.

Max Zavell finished 5^th in the 400 Meter Dash (59.59).

The 4X400 Meter Relay (Zavell, Falberg, Andrew Derdena, and Razzetti) ran a gutsy race to take 3^rd in 4:04.71.

The freshmen class now has to focus on outworking their CSL competition over the next 3 years to help HP compete for the conference title in the years to come.
