Three Top Five Team Finishes At Niles West Pat Savage Invite

Highland Park competed at the Niles West Pat Savage Invite on October 1st.   The awards are given out based on the alphabetical division into the Red and White Divisions.   Highland Park finished in the top five of the Red Division in all three boys races on this windy and muddy day.

The freshmen finished in 3rd place behind winner Evanston and second place Lake Park.  They were led by the 3rd place finish of Ben Casey (11:30.55).  The ret of the top five for Highland Park included Sam Levin (11th 12:01.73), Evan Lissoos (19th 12:29.13), Andrew Huddleston (26th 12:39.8), and AJ Huey (35th 13:01.45).


The sophomores finished in 5th place, just 3 points out of third place.  They were led by 10th place finisher Josh Lidawer (18:16.57).  The rest of the top five were Griffin Bojan (15th 18:28.97), James Rector (19th 18:35.03), Jeremy Bloom (25th 18:50.06), and Grant Greenberg (36th 19:33.47).


The varsity team finished in 2nd place behind state ranked Lake Park.  The giants were led by junior Jonah Hanig who had a strong 4th place finish (6th overall) in 15:48.65.  Following Jonah was fellow junior Emmett Smith (11th 16:13.38).  The top seven were rounded out with junior Luke Nudelman (21st 16:40.84), senior Ian Jacobs (25th 16:44.19), sophomore Angel Estrada (28th 16:54.57), senior Ari Feldman (35th 17:11.59, dealing with a foot injury), and senior Dodge Brown (43rd 17:27.49).
