Top Finishes At 2010 Sectionals

Highland Park High School's top performer at the Palatine Sectional was our lone state qualifier, junior David Berk, with his second place finish in the pole vault.    His 13' 9" clearence puts him tied for 8th on Highland Park's Outdoor All-Time Top Ten for pole vault.

Junior Cole Stern finished 3rd in the long jump with a jump of 20'10.5".

Senior Damen Erf finished his pole vault career at Highland Park High School with his career best clearance of 13'3" to finish in 5th place.

Junior Ari Rothschild ran a career best 9:41.5 in the 3200 meter run to finish in 5th place.  

The 4X200 relay of Stern, senior Jon Gonzalez, senior Ethan Zallik, and senior Jake Hoffman ran a school record time of 1:30.4 to finish in 6th place.

The 4X400 relay of junior Michael Bernstein , senior Josh Mintzer, Zallik, and Hoffman (52.3, 52.3, 51.1, 49.5) ran a 3:25.0 to finish in 6th place.   They missed qualifying for the state meet by 1 second.   This time places the relay in 7th place on Highland Park's Outdoor All-Time Top Ten for the 4X400.
