David Berk Vaults Well At Summit

Highland Park High School senior David Berk had a busy day on March 12th.   After winning the pole vault and setting a new Highland Park High School indoor pole vault record at the Deerfield Duel Meet, he went to Rolling Meadows High School to compete at the Windy City Pole Vault Summit.  Competing against this high level of competition, David placed 6th with a height of 14'3" (4th on the HPHS All-Time Indoor Pole Vault List).  At the Summit, 2nd place through 6th place all cleared the same height of 14'3".   First place went to Eric  Gordon of Normal West with a height of 14'9".
