Prep Top Times Meet

Sunday, March 27 2011 - Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Classic

Highland Park High School had two athletes compete in the Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Classic.

Senior David Berk finished in 4th place for the pole vault with a height of 14' 0".   He missed at 14' 6" with three solid attempts.   David had a fantastic indoor season that included an indoor school record (14'7"), finishing 6th at the Windy City Pole Vault Summit (14'3"), being CSL North pole vault champion (14'1"), and his 4th place finish at the Prep Top Times Meet (14'0").  That being said, David is hungry for more and is looking forward to a very successful outdoor season.

Senior Ari Rothschild had a rough day in the 3200 meter run, battling illness along with a strong field of competition.   He finished in 15th with a time of 9:43.07.   Ari was disappointed with his indoor season overall, despite making the HPHS Indoor Top 10 twice in the 3200 and getting to run in the Prep Top Times Meet.   Ari has big goals for the outdoor season and will work very hard to reach them.
