Ari Rothschild Wins The CSL North Individual Title At Championship Meet
Saturday, October 16 2010 - CSL Invite - Ari RothschildSenior Ari Rothschild continues to impress with another outstanding effort. Ari earned a CSL All-Conference Cross Country honor for the third time in his career by winning the north division individual title. Ari ran 15:24.85, finishing in third place overall behind champion Dave Eckhart of Maine South and second place finisher Tommy King of New Trier. It is the first time since 2002 that Highland Park had a varsity CSL north individual champion.
Also earning all conference was sophomore Emmett Smith. He finished in 11th place in the north division with a time of 16:25.91.
The main goal of this meet was for the varsity team to try to win a conference championship. Unfortusteeplewebly, the team did not have a good performance and they finished a very disappointing third place. The team knows they need to bounce back with a strong race at regionals.
